The result: London Marathon 2006

As promised, above is my official result. For the hard core among you, it's got a few of my splits on it. The short version is that I ran 3 hours 34 mins 49 secs. This placed me 5,585th overall out of 34,000. My shins were sore but once the rest of my body started hurting more, I forgot about them. I clearly favoured my left side though cos my left leg and hip are far stiffer today. But I couldn't be happier with the way I ran. I ran the whole way without walking once (even running 18 miles in training I had to walk a bit) and my time was far better than I thought I'd do.

Thanks to all who messaged me to wish me all the best and see how I went. A big thankyou to all who sponsored me also, and have supported the work of Oasis. You've helped me raise £1,610.41 as of today. But if you didn't donate before yesterday and thought you'd missed your chance, you haven't. The site will be open until 23 June so those few who were planning to donate but never got around to it, please jump on and do so:
www.justgiving.com/moyley . I know by now I sound like a used car salesman, but it's for a great cause.

Finally a special thanks to my vocal supporters around the track. Jane, Josie, Karina & Co: thankyou for your encouragement.

Chris
